Video: Why is ‘Twilight’ So Popular?

Do you have a wife, girlfriend, daughter or mother who is obsessed with Stephanie Meyer’s “Twilight” books and the those awful, awful films? If so, chances are you’ve picked up one of the books at some point and read a page or two out of sheer curiosity to see if there’s something you’re missing. And it’s equally probable your search brought you nothing but more questions. It turns out that the books really are nothing more than poorly written, wish-fulfillment fantasies. So how on earth did they become so popular? Well, Oatmeal came up with a pretty accurate comic strip that details the “psychology” behind the phenomenon and Epipheo Studios decided to produce a three minute video adaptation of said comic strip.
