Video: How to Watch a Martin Scorsese Film

By
March 23, 2010

Martin Scorsese is not only our greatest living director, but is perhaps our greatest living film historian.  His movies are not only brilliant probes into the depths of the human condition, but are astute and articulate commentaries on film itself.  From “Who’s That Knocking at My Door” to “Shutter Island” Scorsese’s films have challenged the very idea of what cinema can and should be.  Thanks to Jim Emerson and his always fascinating Scanners Blog for posting this inspiring and revealing video about the modern master.  Enjoy!
