Elusive British graffiti artist, Banksy, who directed the highly acclaimed documentary, “Exit Through the Gift Shop” was tapped by “The Simpsons” brass to direct the opening sequence and couch gag for last night’s show. What they got back from the famously button-pushing artist was edgier than any opening the show has ever aired. Playing on the fact that “The Simpsons” outsources much of its animation South Korea, the sequence delves into a hilariously exaggerated Korean sweat shop environment where kittens are killed to stuff Bart dolls and the horn of a forlorn unicorn is used to punch the hole in the middle of DVDs.

The ballsy sequence has sent the Internet abuzz over a show that many feel is past its prime. At least Matt Groening and the gang haven’t given up entirely on pushing the envelope. Enjoy:
