Inspired by Norse mythology, Thor was created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby in 1962. The film follows the hero (Chris Hemsworth), who is a god and lives in a realm called Asgard. His father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) is the king of Asgard and he casts Thor to earth as punishment for his arrogance.
