One of the child stars of the Oscar-winning movie “Slumdog Millionaire” will publish her life story, her publishers said Friday.

9-year-old Rubina Ali’s book will tell the story of her life in the impoverished India village where she grew up.

Rubina and 10-year-old Mohammed Ismail, were cast last year in Danny Boyle’s “Slumdog Millionaire,” about an orphan from Mumbai’s slums who wins the India version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”

The makers of the film established a trust to ensure the children get proper homes, a good education, and enough money to be taken care of when they finish high school but relations with the children’s families have been strained over money issues.

Rubina’s Publishers also said that the book to be called, “Slumgirl Dreaming: My Journey to the Stars” will be published in England in mid-July.
