Why We Love the Nightmare Before Christmas Books and Movies

The Christmas season is one of those beautiful seasons where we just chill and have a good time with our friends and family. During this season, we sit around to watch some of the Christmas themed movies and listen to songs. In the last couple of years, there has been an increasing number of Christmas-themed movies, all produced with the intent to teach people how to give and show love this season. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is a 1993 animated movie directed by prolific movie director Henry Selick and produced by Tim Burton. This impressive movie tells the tale of Jack Skellington, the leader and king of the famous Halloween Town. In this sensational dark fantasy-themed movie, Jack stumbles on a portal that takes him to Christmas town where he chose to celebrate the holiday. Being a musical dark fantasy, you get to enjoy amazing songs written by Danny Elfman.

Why We Love ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ Books and Movies

1. Romance: The romance that ensued between Jack and Sally is one of the many reasons why we love this amazing movie. In this movie, we have the first-hand experience of true love. It is heartbreaking to see Sally look out of the window to see Jack leaving Christmas Town. Their love tale and how Jack gets back to his senses and returns to Sally is the type of feeling most of us would love to experience this Christmas season.

2.  Zero: While we already know how dogs can be faithful to owners, this musical dark fantasy movie reminds of that fact with Zero, Jack’s sidekick. It is one of those movies that remind us that dogs are our best friends and would stick with us through thick and thin.

3. Facial Expressions: When Jack first tells the kids about his Christmas, they are a bit surprised and the surprise later turned to fear. Their expressions in this scene and that of Sally looking out through a window will definitely tell you that much work has been put into the production.

4. Sally’s Bravery: Sally’s clever attitude is something we cannot forget in a hurry. She always finds a way to get to Dr. Frankenstein. In addition, Sally has a knack for accepting challenges irrespective of how difficult it looks to others. In addition to these qualities, Sally’s resourcefulness is something that we cannot help but admire about this lovely character.
