20th Century Fox is wasting no time to reboot their hugely successful “X-Men” franchise as casting is well underway.

Deadline is reporting that Nicholas Hoult has officially been cast as the big blue brainiac, Beast, in Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming reboot, “X-Men: First Class.”

Hoult’s first high profile role came as the picked-on school kid reluctantly adopted by Hugh Grant’s character in “About a Boy.”

More recently Hoult has appeared in the acclaimed debut from director Tom Ford, “A Single Man” as well as sword-and-sandals blockbuster, “Clash of the Titans.”

His casting in “X-Men” adds to his plate that already has George Miller’s highly-anticipated “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

The cast for “X-Men: First Class” so far is made up by James McAvoy (Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and Alice Eve (Emma Frost).
