Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man

Sony has released the first official photo from their new Spider-Man film.

Andrew Garfield, who starred in “Never Let Me Go” and “The Social Network,” will don the web-slinger’s mask in the studio’s upcoming reboot of the comic franchise. Marc Webb (“(500) Days of Summer”) will direct a cast that includes Rhys Ifans as the Lizard, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Denis Leary as the father of Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone).

The flick is set to hit theaters July 3, 2012.
