It appears that Morbius, the villainous vampire, will not be the baddie in “Spider-Man 4,” according to producer, Todd Black who appeared in The New York Post this past week.

It does appear to be a sure thing, however, that Kirsten Dunst is will be back for the fourth film, although rumors of a marriage subplot between Peter and Mary Jane will not be part of the story.

So who will be the villain? Black says, “We’re just coming up with who the villain’s going to be now. We’ll be shooting in New York again. Trust me, people will appreciate who we pick, because it’ll be a big part of New York.”

Black did, however, point out that it will not be a new villain made up for the film but one of the classic foes from the comic. Speculation has included Kingpin, Kraven the Hunter, The Lizard Man, Jackal, and Rhino.

The film is set for release on May 6th 2011.
