In 2008 Tomas Alfredson’s brilliant adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s Swedish adolescent vampire novel, “Let the Right One In” wowed audiences and was a hit on the festival circuit. It was so big, in fact, that Hollywood couldn’t pass up taking its slice of the pie. Recognizing how adverse Americans are to reading subtitles, Overture Films and “Cloverfiled” director Matt Reeves have remade and Americanized Alfredson’s film, which some have called a masterpiece. The remake has been retitled, “Let Me In.”
