Evan Rachel Wood and Alan Cumming have joined the upcoming Broadway musical adaptation of “Spider-Man,” the classic comic series, entitled, “Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Wood will slip into the famous role of Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker’s girlfriend. And Alan Cumming will assume the role of Norman Osborn, whose alter-ego is the villainous Green Goblin.
The musical will be helmed by Julie Taymor, and preview performances are set to begin Feb. 25, 2010, at the Hilton Theatre.
Casting is has to announce who will be taking on the lead role(s) of Spider-Man/Peter Parker.
